Bergarde Monographs
Bergarde Galleries was established by the partners and collectors Henk and Anja van den Berg in 2011. It is housed in two buildings at the “Het Buitenland” estate in the Netherlands. Over the years, this couple has compiled an extraordinary art collection. Bergarde organizes exhibitions featuring the work of Dutch and international artists working with various media, such as painting, print, photography, illustration, and new media. The van den Bergs invite young artists to experiment, connect artists during group shows, and present mature artists’ work in solo exhibitions. I designed a series of books about several recent exhibitions, all of which feature a similar grid and typesetting (Versa), but which make distinctive uses of colors and image compositions.
