Projections at the gallery entrance of Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin

Clients: Deutsche Bank, DE and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum NYC, US

Project: Signage and projections related to exhibitions

Years: 1998–2000

The Deutsche Bank building at Unter Den Linden is neoclassical in style and looks rather inaccessible. We set up projections at the entrance of the gallery emanating from the inside of the building, inviting visitors to come inside. We projected texts related to the current exhibition on the upper window. Fragments of the work or the creation thereof were projected onto the doors. The images shown here are projections referring to an exhibition by the American artist James Rosenquist. I worked together with Rosenquist to select the texts and images that were projected in a looped sequence for the duration of the exhibition.
