Project: Visual identity and campaign

Year: 1998

We created a corporate identity and campaign to introduce a new radio channel in Berlin. We used cropped photographs of well-known visual artists, writers, and musicians, combined with relevant quotes. The idea was to highlight the versatility of the fields with which Radio Kultur engages. The asterisk was transformed from a reference character into a fixed part of the logo, serving as a “ping” tone preceding the radio station name. We used the typefaces Scala Sans and Serif and combined the duotone black–violet shades with an orange accent color to convey a classical yet fresh attitude.
